This Privacy Policy explains how ShopperTrendz LLC, doing business as FITAVID ("FITAVID," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you use the FITAVID mobile app and related app services at fitavid.app.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FITAVID, we may collect:
- Account information: phone number, name, optional email address, profile photo, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
- Circle and activity information: Circle memberships, invitations, check-ins, challenge progress, streaks, comments, kudos, and other activity you choose to share within FITAVID.
- Health and fitness information: only the categories you explicitly authorize through Apple Health, Health Connect, or another supported health integration.
- Device and service information: app version, device registration information used for notifications, timezone, and technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Support communications: information you provide when contacting us for help.
2. Apple Health and health data
FITAVID may request permission to read selected fitness or activity information from Apple Health so it can display progress toward Circle goals and support eligible automatic check-ins. You control which categories are shared and may change those permissions in your device settings.
FITAVID does not use health information obtained through Apple Health for advertising, marketing, or data-broker purposes. We do not sell health information. We use authorized health information only to provide and improve health- and fitness-related functionality that you request.
3. How we use information
- Provide authentication, profiles, Circles, check-ins, streaks, progress, invitations, and community features.
- Connect authorized health activity to supported FITAVID goals.
- Send service, account, Circle, and notification messages when enabled.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support requests and comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that process data on our behalf to operate FITAVID, such as authentication, database, hosting, notification, and infrastructure providers. Those providers receive information only as needed to perform services for us.
Information you intentionally post or share in a Circle may be visible to other members of that Circle according to the Circle's privacy and membership settings.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction where permitted by law.
5. Data retention
We retain account and app information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide FITAVID, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. Retention periods can vary by data type and purpose.
6. Your choices and controls
You can update profile information in the app, manage notification preferences, change Apple Health permissions in iOS Settings/Health, and request account deletion. See our Delete Account page for current instructions.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
FITAVID is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as FITAVID evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
